GEORGE LAMPTEY FORMER GHANA INTERNATIONAL

 

 

George Lamptey- Former Professional soccer player in the NorthAmerican Soccer League ( NASL).  Author of "The Ten BridgesTo Professional Soccer", producer of the Youth All Star Instructional Video.  Former youth soccer instructor for San Jose City, and Evergreen Colleges.  CYSA District 2, and Regional Olympic Development Program. State Certified Staff Instructor, and CYSA Coaching Staff, formeranalyst on San Jose Today, KICU TV Channel 36.  George is a FIFA, and United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Licensed coach. Has worked with and scout talented youth soccer players from Africa for European teams, such as RSA Anderlecht, Club Brugge, Heerenveen, Sporting F/C, KAA Ghent, Stade M.Caen, Germain Beerschot, Borussia Dortmound, RCS Rennes, Eintracht Frankfurt, Olympiacos, Portsmouth F/C, and A.S Monaco.

Many of his former players have gone on to play NCAA Division 1, and Division II soccer, MLS, U.S. Men and Women National teams. Some of them are currently coaching NCAA Division 1, Division II Colleges , and youth soccer teams in the U.S.  George has coached several teams in the Bay Area for over 30 years. He is currently coaching MVLA Clash boys U/17 California Regional League (C.R.L) team, and U/12 boys Raptors Green team.  He has directed soccer camps, clinics, private and small group technical sessions for youth and adults throughout the Bay Area.  George has been very active in soccer Community Outreach Programs, and conducting soccer clinics and camps for Nueva school in Hillsborough, and Fremont High School in Sunnyvale.
